The Art of Collage

I LOVE making collages and mood boards, I have been doing this since I was young, cutting up anything and everything to make art. I don't care if I am good or bad at it, I just like creating worlds/scenes. I also enjoying making digital art, I often use various apps on my phone to create posts for Instagram.

Over lock down I have spent a lot of time making art, clothes, face masks and bits and pieces to keep me busy and make sure that I don't go in insane! I was so pleased to stumble across this beautiful PDF (see below) from Hannah Nagle who works in the Imaging Team for the British Library 💕.

The British Library has uploaded over 1 million images to its Flickr account since 2007. They are all in the public domain - this means they are FREE to us for any purpose, including commercial use. Hannah has designed an easy to follow guide for how to make beautiful collages from these images - even if you don't have Photoshop! Hannah has detailed instructions for how to use Microsoft Word to get a really creative piece of artwork. THANK YOU HANNAH 😃🙏🏼

I have included the PDF instructions below or you can download from the British Library's blog post here.

Below are some of my creations using the British Library images, you'll see there is a come theme haha, if you decide to give it a go tag me on Instagram!

Enjoy x
