25 Min Yoga Nidra (Sleep Yoga)

Class Description:

Prepare for your Yoga Nidra practice by find a comfortable place to lie down, a bed, a mat, wear some layers, cover your feet if needed, and maybe if you need to support your lower back place a cushion under your knees. This 26 minutes long practice will take you through a guided meditation with focus on your breath, body relaxation and visualisations. Nidra means sleep in Sanskrit and by maintaining you in a state between asleep and awakedness, the practice will be beneficial for the nervous system by calming the physical body, releasing emotional tensions and even rewriting patterns on a deeper level. 40 min of Nidra is said to be the equivalent of 4 hours of sleep so perfect for a lunchtime break to regain some energy, or at nighttime before sleep. I recommend eating some food after the practice to ground yourself back, or getting some fresh air.
